Parasites

When we think of parasites or intestinal worms, we don’t regularly associate them posing any potential risk when we live in a country like Australia. It is often assumed that due to our relatively clean water supply and hygiene standards, that we are immune to contracting parasites or intestinal worms. What if we were to tell you that these parasites may be living inside you at this very moment!

Parasites start off as minuscule organisms which feed off of our own food and blood supply. If they are left untreated and left to grow, they can reproduce and grow up to several metres in length. Parasites are transmitted in several ways such as:

  • Failing to wash hands
  • Contaminated Soil
  • Unwashed produce
  • Travelling overseas
  • Airborne
  • Dirty water supply

Symptoms of parasites/worms can include itchy nose, anus, ears, bloating or gas. Do you often eat more than you should but still feel like you could eat more?

Below is a brief video of a Dr Oz episode which featured intestinal parasites.

There are currently over 300 types of parasites in Australia today. They live off our food and water supply and leave their own faeces behind to then be reabsorbed back into our blood stream. Although miniscule they have the ability to remove nutrients and essentially “live off us”.

Clean out these nutrient thieves with colonic irrigation and return to optimal health.
